68 NATIONAL REPORTING SYSTEM FOR FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES As stated in the first report to the Congress of the United States on a Five-Year Plan for Family Planning Services and Population Research, a modified and improved National Reporting System for Family Planning Services will be implemented on January 1, 1972. In the initial year, this system will be used by all family planning programs funded under Title X of the Public Health Service Act, Title V of the Social Security Act, the Economic Opportunity Act, and all the Planned Parenthood clinics. Enrollment of projects and clinics is currently underway. A total of 11 training sessions were held in each of the Regions and Washington, D.C. during the month of December. In the meantime, data continue to be available from the interim reporting system that has been in operation since May 1969. The tables that follow present patient and visit data for FY-71 from the federally funded projects participating in the interim system.
