The Commission, after careful consideration of the facts in this cause, hereby authorizes the discontinuance of the agency at Roper, Alabama, a station on the line of the Atlanta & Birmingham Air Line Division of the Seaboard Air Line Railway, said discontinuance to take effect when a depot building is erected and an agency established at Alton, Ala., a new station on the line of said railroad, and provided that the depot building and side tracks shall remain at Roper, Ala., and that trains shall stop there when flagged. March 4th, 1907.

SOUTHERN R. R. COMPANY.

Petition to close agency at Farrill, Alabama. Petition denied. This action taken and adopted unanimously on motion of Mr. Nesbitt, stating the fact

that the Railroad had been notified and failed to appear in this case and the facts before the Commission showed that the receipts of the station were $122.00 per month, and further showed that the said receipts would in all probability be larger but for the fact that a station three miles north of Farrill, Early Station, in the State of Georgia, was securing a great amount of business naturally belonging to Farrill, Ala., on account of the discrepancy in rates from Rome, Ga., especially to both of said points. The rates to Farrill being much higher than those to Early, just across the state line, and as above stated, three miles from Farrill. April 1st, 1907.
