Inasmuch as this office is the depository of the official acts of the Executive, and as the same are of record in the office of your Excellency, it will not be necessary to make any statement thereof. Suffice it that all the official acts of the Executive have been fully recorded in books prepared and kept for that purpose. to say By the law, it is made the duty of the Secretary of State to distribute the Laws, Journals, Reports, etc. On the 5th of May, the State Printer commenced delivering to this office the Statutes of the last Session of the Legislature, and on the 24th of May the distribution of them, as required by law, was completed-eleven hundred copies having been forwarded to the County Clerks of the respective Counties of this State.
