Sterge NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF OIL SHALE LAND FOR DAWSONITE CLAIMS UTAH, WYOMING, AND COLORADO Notice of Proposed Withdrawal and Reservation of Lands The Bureau of Land Management has filed an application for withdrawal of the lands described below, from (1) appropriation under the mining laws relating to metalliferous minerals, and (2) from sodium leasing except where the Secretary finds that development of the sodium deposits would not adversely affect in any significant way the oil shale values of the lands. The applicant desires the withdrawal to protect the mutliple-use development of the minerals and other resources in the lands. For a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notice, all persons who wish to submit comments, suggestions, or objections in connection with the proposed withdrawal may present their views in writing to the undersigned officer of the Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, Washington, D.C. 20240. If circumstances warrant, a public hearing will be held at a convenient time and place, which will be announced. The determination of the Secretary on the application will be published in the Federal Register. A separate notice will be sent to each interested party of record. The lands involved in the application are: All deposits of oil shale and all lands containing such deposits in the States of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming which are owned by the United States and which are under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of the Interior.
