In accordance with the provisions of the Act of May 14, 1937 (50 Stat. 166; 5 U.S.C., Sup., 75c) civilian officers and employees of the Department of State (including the Foreign Service) who are American citizens and are stationed for active duty beyond the continental limits of the United States, are hereby authorized, subject to the following regulations in this part, to make allotments of pay from their regular salary for payment to or on account of the following: (a) Members of family or relatives; (b) banks for deposit; (c) insurance premiums; (d) finance companies; (e) lawfully appointed attorneys; (f) special cases when the Department's advance approval is obtained.
