NONRECURRING REPORTS AND STUDIES REQUIRED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND CERTAIN OTHER FEDERAL AGENCIES AS A RESULT OF ACTS OF CONGRESS APPROVED FROM 1974 THROUGH 1984

Secondary Mortgage Market Enhancement Act of 1984 (P.L. 98440, approved October 3, 1984):

(1) Report on mortgage prepayment penalties and their impact on secondary mortgage market activities (section 212). Due not later than 180 days after the enactment of the Secondary Mortgage Market Enhancement Act of 1984.

Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983 (P.L. 98-181, approved November 30, 1983):

(1) Report on impact of requirement that between 20 and 25 percent of assisted housing budget authority be allocated to nonmetropolitan areas (97 Stat. 1176). Report due not later than March 1, 1984.

(2) Report on housing neighborhood strategy area program (97 Stat. 1188). Report due not later than 120 days after the enactment of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983.

(3) Report on mortgage reinsurance demonstration program (12 U.S.C. 1715z-14 note). Report due not later than March 1, 1985.

(4) Report on home equity conversion mortgages for elderly persons (12 U.S.C. 1709 note). Report due not later than 1 year after the enactment of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983.

(5) Report by the Federal Insurance Administrator on the premium rate structure under the Federal flood insurance program (42 U.S.C. 4001 note). Report due not later than June 30, 1984.

(6) Report on procedures followed in the implementation and revision of departmental programs (97 Stat. 1236). Report due not later than March 1, 1984.

(7) Study and report by Secretary of Energy, in consultation with the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Secretary of Agriculture, concerning energy use and costs of manufactured homes built according to national manufactured housing safety standards (42 U.S.C. 1472 note). Due not later than 18 months after issuance by Secretary of Agriculture of regulations establishing energy conserving requirements for manufactured homes assisted under section 502 of the Housing Act of 1949.

Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981 (P.L. 97-35, approved August 13, 1981):

(1) Report on targeting of funds in the block grant program (95 Stat. 398). Due no later than 270 days after the enactment of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981.

(2) Report on alternate means for recapture of Federal investment in units removed from the section 8 program (95 Stat. 406). Due no later than 1 year after enactment of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981.

(3) Report on the public housing operating subsidy program (42 U.S.Č. 1437g). Due no later than March 1, 1982
