Extract from act of Congress of February 20, 1907, creating an
Immigration Commission.

That a commission is hereby created, consisting of three by the President of the Senate, and three Members of the E to be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Represent to be appointed by the President of the United States. Sai full inquiry, examination, and investigation, by subcommit subject of immigration. For the purpose of said inquiry, exa tion said commission is authorized to send for persons and p travel, either in the United States or any foreign country, man of the commission, or any member thereof, to administ witnesses and papers respecting all matters pertaining to the necessary clerical and other assistance. Said commission sh conclusions reached by it, and make such recommendations seem proper.
