As you can see from these examples, which are common throughout Texas, dealers cannot exist with this form of unfair competition. We are only asking for a fair chance to meet our competitors in the marketing of gasoline, and we believe that the branded dealers are capable of competing in the marketplace.

We believe that reasonable men making reasonable decisions will understand the seriousness of our situation. If the dealers do not get the needed relief, that is afforded with HR 1362, then many thousands of branded dealers will be forced out of business in the next five years.

We appreciate the help you are attempting to give the branded dealers, and hopefully the other members of Congress will better understand the plight of the branded dealers.
