ing having been duly notified to the said parties, we met agreeably to such notification, at the house of John Bennett, in the city of Hartford, in the state of Connecticut, on the 30th day of November, last past, where the said Fulton appeared by his attorney and agent, John D. Lacey, Esq.-and the said Sullivan appeared, and on that day and the following, viz: the first day of December, instant, we proceeded to hear the said parties on the subject of our said appointment with their evidences, exhibits, and arguments, when, after having finished said hearing for the purpose of obtaining more perfect documents respecting said applications, from the office of the Secretary of State, of the United States, we adjourned to the 15th day of December, to meet at New-Haven, in the said state of Connecticut, at the house of Justin Butler, on which last mentioned day we met agreeably to said adjournment, and having duly considered the matters thus referred to us, with the evidence and arguments offered in support of the same, we do find, that the said John L. Sullivan, in the case set forth in the papers hereunto annexed, is entitled to receive a Patent, and we do award, that the same be granted him accordingly.
