From the above table it appears that the proportion of foreign-born employees is largest at Chicago, second largest at Omaha, and smallest at Kansas City; that the proportion of native-born of foreign father is largest at Omaha, second largest at Chicago, and smallest at Kansas City; and that the proportion of native-born of native father, both white and negro, is largest at Kansas City, second largest at Omaha, and smallest at Chicago. Of the foreign-born, the Bohemians and Moravians and Swedes constitute a larger proportion of the total number of employees at Omaha than either at Chicago or Kansas City; the Croatians and Greeks, a larger proportion of the total number of employees at Kansas City than at Omaha or Chicago; and the Germans, Irish, Lithuanians, Poles, Russians, and Slovaks a larger proportion of the total number of employees at Chicago than at either Kansas City or Omaha.
