These tables present information concerning 8,5 employees engaged in the industry. Of this numb have been in the United States under five years, the 43.1 per cent with this length of residence, as compar cent of the females. Considering the males in each residence group un will be noted that the proportions of the older as the proportions of the more recent immigrant ra instance very low. However, the difference in pro marked among those with a residence of less than among those with a residence of one, two, three, or f Croatians show the largest proportions with a resid two years, the Greeks the largest proportion with a re years, and the Slovenians the largest proportion wit four years. The Swedes report the smallest prop residence of one and four years, and the Irish the tions with a residence of two and three years.

Twenty-one and five-tenths per cent have been in t from five to nine years, 6.2 per cent from ten to f cent from fifteen to nineteen, and 18.2 per cent t over. The proportion of all foreign-born males in residence varies only slightly from the proportion sh for both males and females.
