HIDDEN

SWEETNESS:

"Oh, when shall it be fully granted me to see how sweet thou art, my Lord God!"-THOMAS À KEMPIS.

THE POEMS BY MARY BRADLEY,

THE ILLUSTRATIONS FROM DRAWINGS BY

DOROTHY HOLROYD.

Price, cloth, gilt, $1.50; alligator binding, $1.50.

"Hidden Sweetness" contains some charming verse, for the most part of deeply religious sentiment. It is dainty in fancy and graceful in imagination. These poems show true poetic feeling. The illustrations, which deal whoily with flower subjects, are effectively arranged on the pages, and are excellent in grouping, drawing, and engraving. R. H. Stoddard says: It will be read now and hereafter by the lovers of sacred verse. We say hereafter, for we believe it will live when the hand that penned it is still. It certainly ought to, for it is as exquisite as it is reverential."

JEAN INGELOW'S FAVORITE POEMS.

A superb volume, containing three of this gifted author's most admired poems: "The Songs of even," "The High Tide on the Coast of Lincolnshire," and "The Shepherd Lady," with many f her shorter pieces, in one royal 8vo volume. Illustrated with upwards of 100 engravings by the most celebrated artists. Printed on fine satin-finish paper.

Messrs. ROBERTS BROTHERS Would call attention to their new departure in this volume rom the ordinary style of binding. The embellishment consisting of a relief design in gold, ronze, or silver of St. Botolph Church in Boston, England, inserted in a panelled cloth cover, which is appropriately decorated with emblematic designs, the whole forming a picture which quite atisfies the eye and will cause this volume to take a leading rank in the productions of the season. Enclosed in a neat box. Price $5.00.
