Its detail arrangement is shown in the section and typical floor plan herewith, repeated from last year's report, and its relation to the building as a whole is shown in the general floor plans of the building accompanying the report of the Librarian. This stack is in use by the Library and already half filled. The court filled by this stack is 150 feet long by 74 feet wide by 80 feet in height, containing about 748,000 cubic feet of space. The stack comprises a cellar for ventilation, elevator and electric apparatus, nine stories of shelving and an attic assorting and store room well skylighted. The |
