[From Mineral Industry Surveys, U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Mines, Sept. 3, 1959]

NATURAL GAS LIQUIDS AND LIQUEFIED REFINERY GASES, JUNE 1959

The daily average production of natural gas liquids in June was 36 million gallons, 1 percent above May 1959, according to the Bureau of Mines, U.S. Department of the Interior. The daily average production of liquefied gases at refineries was 8 million gallons, the same as May 1959.

The daily average demand for liquefied gases for fuel and chemical uses increased 13 percent from May.

Stocks of liquefied gases totaled 1,031 million gallons, 347 million gallons above a year ago.

Underground stocks of liquefied gases totaled 813 million gallons, an increase of 133 million gallons during June.

The daily average demand for natural gasoline decreased 2 percent during June 1959.

Final figures for 1958 are shown on page 3 of this report.
