COMMERCIAL DIVISION

It is not at all uncommon for a business that is young or growing rapidly to find itself short of cash and unable to get help from its regular sources When that happens, such a business often applies to a private lending company such as Associates for a loan. The Commercial Division makes hundreds of these loans to business firms with some often running into millions of dollars.

The Commercial Division makes these loans with some tangible asset as security. This may be accounts receivable, inventories, fixed assets, installment pe per of other finance companies, machinery or other suitable collateral. Associates usually assumes the burden of the paperwork and provides important financial advice that can be a real help to the borrower.

This division also provides installment and wholesale financing for machinery and equipment such as road building equipment, machine tools, etc. This service, which is directly supervised by this division, is available through the home office and the Asso ciates branch offices.

The Commercial Division maintains principal offices in New York, Chicago and South Bend.
