WILES, DIRECTOR OF BUDGET Mrs. HANSEN. The committee will come to order. We will now consider the supplemental budget requests of the Department of the Interior and related agencies. Since we have the budgetary officials of the Department present, and have received many inquiries from Members of Congress, some on the Appropriations Committee, about items in the 1971 budget that are related to marine resources which we will consider later, I have some questions to ask before we call on the Bureau of Land Management. RELEASE OF RESERVE FOR ANN ARBOR, MILFORD, AND BARTLESVILLE ADD-ONS Mr. Wiles and Mr. Hite, it is a pleasure to welcome you back. Now would you explain to me what has happened to the 1971 funds appropriated for the Ann Arbor Laboratory, $400,000, the Milford Laboratory, $337,000, and the evaluation studies which will give us some answers on nuclear fallout, oil spills, and steelhead fish. |
