Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency Boston, Massachusetts

We have examined the balance sheet of Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency as of June 30, 1973, the related statements of revenues, expenses, and changes in fund balances and of cash receipts and expenditures for the year then ended. Our examination was made in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and accordingly included such tests of the accounting records and such other auditing procedures as we considered necessary in the circumstances. We previously examined and reported upon the 1972 financial statements.

In our opinion, the aforementioned financial statements present fairly the financial position of Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency as of June 30, 1973 and 1972 and the results of its operations and cash receipts and expenditures for the years then ended and changes in its fund balances

for the year ended June 30, 1973 in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles applied on a consistent basis.

The financial statements referred to in the foregoing opinion are set forth on pages thirty to thirty-seven inclusive of this report. Our examination was made primarily for the purpose of rendering an opinion on these basic financial statements, taken as a whole. The other data included in this report on pages thirty-eight to forty-eight inclusive, although not considered necessary for a fair presentation of financial position and results of operations, are presented primarily for supplemental analysis purposes. This additional information has been subjected to the audit procedures applied in the examination of the basic financial statements, and in our opinion is fairly stated in all material respects in relation to the basic financial statements taken as a whole.
