All fruits are valued at $700,000,000, nuts $30,000,000, and all vegetables, including home gardens, $1,270,000,000. The total farm value of all agricultural crops of the country, except timber, may during favorable years reach $12,000,000,000. Thus it appears that the value of horticultural crops is about one-sixth of the total value of all farm crops.
