LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL.

UNITED STATES VETERANS' BUREAU,
Washington, D. C., December 4, 1922.

To the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Sixty-seventh Congress:

Pursuant to the provisions of section 14 of the act of August 9, 1921 (Public 47, 67th Cong.), I have the honor to submit the following report of activities of the United States Veterans' Bureau for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1922.

This is the first report covering all World War veteran relief activities of the United States Government in a single volume, and it has therefore been made a historical record of the statistics, appropriations, disbursements, and the principal events leading to consolidation of all Government agencies that have administered the laws for relief of veterans of the World War.

Respectfully,

C. R. FORBES,

Director, U. S. Veterans' Bureau.
