IN REGARD TO THE $3,097.00 PAVING BILL, THE AMOUNT WAS ARRIVED AT IN THIS MANNER:

THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT FOR THE PAVING WAS $3,130.00, (COPY OF COST ATTACHED), OF WHICH THE PRESIDENT WAS TO PAY 1/3 OR $1,043.00 AND G.S.A. TO PAY 1/3 OR $1,043.00 AND SECURITY RESPONSIBLE FOR 1/3 OR $1,044.00, MAKING A TOTAL TO THE GOVERMENT OF $2,087.00.

AFTER ALL THE DITCHES WERE DUG AND BACK-FILLED, IT WAS DECIDED AFTER LONG CONVERSATIONS WITH BILL ROBINSON, LLOYD MASSEY AND MYSELF THAT THE AREA IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE WAS SO TORN UP BY G.S.A. AND/OR SECURITY DITCHES THAT THE ONLY WAY TO DO THE JOB PROPERLY WAS TO REMOVE MORE PAVING AND DO MORE PATCHING, WHICH BILL ROBINSON AGREED TO PAY FOR. THE ADDITIONAL EXPENSE WAS S1.010.00, (COPY OF TOTAL BILL ATTACHED), BRINGING THE TOTAL COST TO THE GOVERNMENT OF $3,097.00.

ALSO, WHEN WE GOT THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF $3,130.00, WE DID NOT KNOW THE EXTENT OF THE G.S.A. AND/OR SECURITY DITCHES SO THAT COST COULD NOT BE FIGURED AT THE TIME.

Prico per ton shall includo escoping prosent roadway, tacking prior to paving, join outside of rain gate to watch existing paving and new concreto gutters, compaction rolling and all oil-completo.
