: Exhibit V - 3 THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON March 12, 1974 Dear Mr. Alexander: My personal attorneys, Messrs. Kenneth W. Gemmill and H. Chapman Rose, have transmitted to me a request from your office for a description of the terms and circumstances of a $20,000 loan made to me by my daughter Patricia on April 1, 1967. The attached letter of Mr. Frank DeMarco, Jr. of April 2, 1970 contains an accurate description of that loan. The letter is incorrect, however, in stating that Patricia and I signed a memorandum reflecting the terms of the loan. The transaction, except for Patricia's check and my note to her, was entirely oral. Sincerely, The Honorable Donald C. Alexander Commissioner Internal Revenue Service Room 3000 1111 Constitution Avenue, N. W. Washington, D. C. 20224 EXHIBIT VI Family Travel 1.
