The meeting for the organization of the School Committee of the City of Boston for this municipal year was held in the School Committee Chamber, Mason-street building, on Monday, January 1, 1906, being the first Monday said month, at 4 o'clock P.M. The Board was called to order by Mr. Thomas J. Kenny, the senior member. in SECRETARY PRO TEM. The Chair requested the Secretary of the former Board to act as Secretary pro tem. MEMBERS-ELECT OF SCHOOL COMMITTEE. The following communication was read:Board of Election Commissioners, Old Court House, Court Square, Boston, December 21, 1905. Thornton D. Apollonio, Secretary, School Committee, Mason Street, Boston, Mass. Sir: We hereby certify that, as appears by the records of the votes cast for members of the School Committee, at the Municipal Election held on the twelfth instant in the City of Boston, the following named persons were duly elected: For three years-George E. Brock, James J. Storrow. For two years-Thomas J. Kenny, William S. Kenny. For one year-David A. Ellis. John M. Minton, Melancthon W. Burlen, David B. Shaw, Alpheus Sanford, Board of Election Commissioners. ELECTION OF TREASURER. On motion of Mr. Thomas J. Kenny the Board proceeded to the election of a Treasurer of the Corporation, the same member nominating for that office, Mr. George E. Brock. The Chair directed the Secretary to call the roll. The members as their names were called, respectively stated that they voted as follows: BROCK: Messrs. FOR GEORGE E. Ellis, Thomas J. Kenny, William S. Kenny, and Storrow-4. FOR THOMAS J.
