We took the prize, receiving favorable comments from the local papers. J. C. HARRIS, Rec. Sec. L. U. No. 456, Nashville, Tenn. Brotherhood. The names of the candidates eligible to serve as Fourth General Vice-President who have accepted the nomination will be published in the October Painter and Decorator and a copy of the official nomination circular will be mailed to each local union. Names of candidates who fail to notify the general office that they accept the nomination will be omitted from the list. The ballots and other election supplies will be sent out so as to reach the locals by the 1st of November. The election will be held during that month and locals are urged to vote early so as to get the returns to headquarters promptly. THE UNFAIR "ASSOCIATED ARTISTS." "The Associated Artists," of Milwaukee, make a specialty of decorating theaters and churches. They recently decorated the Columbia Theater and, though the contract called for union men. employed non-union painters. The firm is tricky and will not hesitate to hire union men where it has too, but members of the Brotherhood can not work for it until it has made peace with the Milwaukee local. BEAUTIFUL LAKE GENEVA. Ten thousand people attended the Labor Day celebration at Lake Geneva, Wis. The members of L. U. No. 104, in spotless white, carrying Japanese umbrellas, formed an escort for a float symbolic of the craft. The parade was the most successful ever held in the city. HERBERT RICHARDS, R. S. L. U.
