Rocky Mountain Region accessioned 31 cubic feet of compliance files, 1972-77, documenting that standards for the National Register determination for historic sites had been met. The records were created by the Council's Western Division of Project Review. (Record Group 368.)

Records of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA)

The region recently accessioned the following series from

the Wind River Agency, Ft. Washakie, Wyoming: seven cubic feet of irrigation correspondence and photographs, 1910-67; 69 cubic feet of irrigation engineering data, maps, and project planning reports, 1894-1963; and three cubic feet of irrigation soil, range, and agricultural reports, 1915-65. The region also received one cubic foot of land allotment tract books, 1905-10, six cubic feet of irrigation cost and water-user ledgers, 191157, one cubic foot of correspondence on water rights cases, 195060, four cubic feet of reservation and allotment plats, 1915-48, and one cubic foot of road project maps, 1935-61. One cubic foot of per capita payments, 1960, were also accessioned; these are restricted under the provisions of FOIA Exemption 6.

Other accessioned BIA holdings include Individual Indian Money posting records for the Blackfeet Agency, one cubic foot, 1954-66; the Flathead Agency, one cubic foot, 1947-64; the Fort Apache Agency, seven cubic feet, 1956-67; and the Aberdeen Area Office, 15 cubic feet, 1967 (these are restricted under the provisions of FOIA Exemption 6). Also received are field employment assistance cases for the Denver Area Office, 65 cubic feet, 1960-66, and the Phoenix Area Office, 11 cubic feet, 1967,

(restricted under FOIA Exemption 6).

Additional records received

from the Phoenix Area Office are 13 feet of program management

files, 1955-65, five cubic feet of road construction project records, 1967, and six cubic feet of timber sale contracts, 1952

The region received from the Albuquerque Area Office four cubic feet of cancelled oil and gas leases, 1954-66. Also received were 25 cubic feet of cancelled uranium mining leases, 1952-61, and two cubic feet of range utilization reports 1959-60, from the Navajo Area Office.

The BIA Billings Area Office transferred three cubic feet of irrigation engineering maps and drawings, 1961-63, and one cubic foot of oil and gas leases, 1951-64, to the branch. (Record Group 75.)

Records of the Bureau of Land Management

The region received a direct accession from the Montana

Included are

State Office of the Bureau of Land Management. seven cubic feet of terminated right of ways, 1909-25; one cubic foot of serial applications, 1909-20; one cubic foot of color of title for mining claims, 1908-19; 13 cubic feet of patent and conveyancing cases, 1912-40; three cubic feet of cancelled serialized land entry cases, 1913-24; and 82 feet of serialized land entry cases, 1908-21. (Record Group 49.)

Records of the Bureau of Mines

Recently accessioned by the region were 24 cubic feet of

research program files, 1940-61, from the Mineral Resource

Division of the Bureau of Mines. The material primarily concerns the Leadville tunnel project and other smaller projects conducted in the mountains of western Colorado. (Record Group 70.)

Records of the Defense Civil Preparedness Agency

The region also accessioned six cubic feet of construction and engineering specifications, 1963-67, created by the Office of Civil Defense in Denver. (Record Group 397.)

Records of District Courts of the United States

The region has accessioned 327 cubic feet of records from

· U.S. district courts in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Included are 114 cubic feet of civil cases, 1960-62, 28 cubic feet of Commissioner dockets, 1884-1962, and 29 cubic feet of civil cases, 1959-62, and four cubic feet of criminal cases, 1962, for Utah; and 49 cubic feet of civil cases, 1950-59, for Wyoming. (Record Group 21.)
