Trade Marks, treating it more particularly with reference to the many questions of Infringement which have from time to time arisen for adjudication in this country as well as in America. To codify and condense is at all times a difficult task, owing to the risk of omission which such a course of procedure necessarily involves; I have, however, thought it better to incur such risk, hoping to avoid the consequences by a careful analysis of principles which could undoubtedly have been more easily enlarged upon. The Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks Act of 1883 proceeds in a great measure upon the lines of the repealed Act of 1875; where the verbiage has been altered it has been mainly in conformity with precedent as gathered from the reported cases.
