OF THE COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS,
Washington, D.C., July 6, 1970.

Hon. WILLIAM L. DAWSON,

Chairman, Committee on Government Operations,
House of Representatives, Washington, D.C.

DEAR MR. CHAIRMAN: Pursuant to your standing instructions to examine the information practices of the agencies of Government, he subcommittee recently submitted a questionnaire to regulatory Boards and Commissions for the purpose of identifying and clarifying the appropriate statutes, rules, and regulations governing access to nformation by the Congress.

Although subject to eventual revision in some instances, the initial responses to the questionnaire are nonetheless of interest to Members of Congress and to the general public. It is, therefore, respectfully requested that the material attached herewith be published as a committee print.

Sincerely,

JOHN E. Moss,

Chairman, Foreign Operations and Government Information
Subcommittee.
