MULTILATERAL TREATY

Consular agents convention. (Sixth International Conference of American States.)

Adopted at Habana February 20, 1928; ratification of the United States deposited with the Pan American Union February 8, 1932; proclaimed by the President of the United States February 11, 1932.

Effective September 3, 1929; as to the United States February 8, 1932.

The countries in respect of which the convention is in force as a result of ratification are the United States of America, Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama.

The Dominican Republic deposited on April 23, 1932, its instrument of ratification of the convention subject to certain reservations. These reservations being unacceptable to the Government of the United States, notification was given to the Director General of the Pan American Union that this Government does not regard the convention as in effect between the United States and the Dominican Republic.
