CONSULAR

CONVENTION ON CONSULAR AGENTS 1

On February 1, 1932, the President ratified the convention on consular agents adopted at the Sixth International Conference of American States, held at Habana February 20, 1928. The ratification was deposited with the Pan American Union on February 8, 1932. The treaty was proclaimed by the President on February 11, 1932, and will shortly be published as Treaty Series, No. 843.

According to the information of the Department the parties to the convention are Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and the United States.

Portugal

By a despatch dated January 23, 1932, the American Minister to Portugal reported that the Diario do Governo of January 20, 1932, Series I, No. 16, contained an official announcement to the effect that, on January 11, 1932, the Portuguese Minister at Paris deposited in the archives of the French Government the instrument of ratification by Portugal of the convention relating to international exhibitions, with protocol and protocol of signature, signed at Paris November 22, 1928.
