171. lappuse - Nut Island Screen-house The plant at this house includes two sets of screens in duplicate actuated by small reversing engines of the Fitchburg type. Two vertical Deane boilers, 80 horse-power each, operate the engines, provide heat and light for the house, burn materials intercepted at the screens, and furnish power for the Hough's Neck pumping station.
