EXPERIENCE

WILBUR C. DYER

Executive Director

Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center

Mr. Dyer is the Executive Director of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC). He is responsible for directing the Center's programs and staff, and building working relationships with Michigan's Industrial, Business and Governmental communities.

Previous to his current position, Mr. Dyer had been employed for over fifteen years in the industrial field working with firms such as Westinghouse Electric Systems and Ex-Cell-O Aerospace. He also held the title of Manager of Business Services for Lima Technical College, where he provided services to the business community in a six-county region.

Mr. Dyer most recently resided as Executive Director of YSU-Technology Development Corporation (YSU-TDC), a not-for-profit corporation established by Youngstown State University. While employed at YSU-TDC, Mr. Dyer had complete management responsibility and was responsible for meeting the technological needs of the businesses in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys.

Over the years, Mr. Dyer has acquired substantial management experience negotiating contracts valued up to $25 million, managing departmental budgets over $1 million annually for more than forty employees, and negotiating labor disputes with IUE and UAW locals.
