This morning the subcommittee will begin consideration of the fiscal year 1964 budget programs proposed for the Bureau of Reclamation and the power marketing agencies of the Department of the Interior— the Bonneville Power Administration, the Southeastern Power Administration, and the Southwestern Power Administration. In fiscal year 1963, $394,874,350 were available to these agencies. For fiscal year 1964, $445,922,000 are requested, which is an increase of $51,012,843. There will be included in the record a table comparing the appropriations for fiscal year 1963 with the appropriation requests for fiscal year 1964. (The table referred to follows:) |
